Councilmember Earp congratulated Wyatt Smith, thanked the Police and EMS Departments, <br />thanked Councilmember Mike Clausen for his years of services, congratulated Councilmember <br />th <br />Kaminski on being re-elected into office, and encouraged everyone to come out and enjoy the 125 <br />Celebration festivities. <br /> Councilmember Clausen congratulated Wyatt Smith, thanked the Police and EMS Departments, <br />congratulated Councilmember Kaminski on being re-elected into office, and commented it has been <br />an honor to serve the City for 13 years. <br /> Councilmember J. Martin thanked the Police and EMS Departments, congratulated all the winners <br />and candidates in the election, congratulated Wyatt Smith, and thanked Councilmember Clausen <br />for his years of services. <br /> Councilmember K. Martin thanked the Police and EMS Departments, congratulated Wyatt Smith, <br />wished Councilmember Clausen the best, congratulated Councilmember Kaminski on being <br />th <br />re-elected into office, and encouraged everyone to get tickets for the 125 Celebration festivities. <br /> Councilmember Kaminski thanked and congratulated Wyatt Smith, thanked the Police and EMS <br />Departments, wished Councilmember Clausen the best, thanked the voters for being re-elected into <br />office. <br />Mayor Rigby congratulated Wyatt Smith, thanked the Police and EMS Departments, congratulated <br />Councilmembers Kaminski and Earp for being re-elected into office, and thanked Councilmember <br />Clausen for his years of services. <br />10.EXECUTIVE SESSION – The City reserves the right to meet in closed session on any agenda item <br />should the need arise and if applicable pursuant to authorization by Title 5, Chapter 551, of the <br />Texas Government Code, including, but not limited to, the following: <br />Texas Government Code, Section 551.074 – Personnel Matters: Deliberation concerning the <br />appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public <br />officer or employee, unless the officer or employee requests a public hearing: Clark Askins, <br />Assistant City Attorney, regarding prosecution of commercial motor vehicles cases in Municipal <br />Court. <br />City Council recessed the regular Council meeting to convene an executive session at 6:44 p.m. <br />regarding the subject of the executive session item listed above. <br />11. RECONVENE into regular session and consider action, if any, on item(s) discussed in executive <br />session. <br />City Council reconvened the regular council meeting at 7:30 p.m. <br />City Council provided direction to the Assistant City Attorney on his duties, and new policies and <br />procedures. <br />12. ADJOURN - There being no further business, Councilmember Chuck Engelken made a motion to <br />adjourn the meeting at 7:32 p.m. Councilmember Daryl Leonard seconded the motion. MOTION <br />PASSED UNANIMOUSLY 8/0.
