Existing planning data from the City of La Porte, Texas, the Houston- Galveston Area Council, and other governmental agencies which are used will be presented as background information in the final report. Task 1.3 - Water Consumption Records Daily pumpage records and, to the extent possible, hourly usage records from the previous three years will be used to determine water demands for existing land use within the La Porte Area Water Authority boundaries. The data will be analyzed to establish average, maximum daily, and peak hourly • demands. Billing records of significant water users (average use greater than 10,000 gallons per day) will be used to facili- tate a description of user class. Existing or proposed agree- ments to supply water to entities outside the current Authority limits will be included in the establishment of a base for future requirements. These requirements will be established in following manner. Task 1.3.1 - Engineer and Authority will prepare a list of entities that may have existing or future needs for treated surface water. Task 1.3.2 - Engineer will prepare a draft letter for Authority which outlines general legal and geographical juris- dictions of Authority to provide such water and invite such entities to an informational meeting to potential customers. Task 1.3.3 - Engineer in conjunction with Authority will present possible options for service to potential customers at a joint meeting to be held within the Authority's boundaries. Task 1.3.4 - Engineer will distribute a "letter of inquiry" to entities attending the meeting requesting time, quantity, and • s /~
