Existing <br />planning data from the City of La Porte, Texas, the Houston- <br />Galveston Area Council, and other governmental agencies which <br />are used will be presented as background information in the <br />final report. <br />Task 1.3 - Water Consumption Records <br />Daily pumpage records and, to the extent possible, hourly <br />usage records from the previous three years will be used to <br />determine water demands for existing land use within the <br />La Porte Area Water Authority boundaries. The data will be <br />analyzed to establish average, maximum daily, and peak hourly <br />• demands. Billing records of significant water users (average <br />use greater than 10,000 gallons per day) will be used to facili- <br />tate a description of user class. Existing or proposed agree- <br />ments to supply water to entities outside the current Authority <br />limits will be included in the establishment of a base for <br />future requirements. These requirements will be established in <br />following manner. <br />Task 1.3.1 - Engineer and Authority will prepare a list <br />of entities that may have existing or future needs for treated <br />surface water. <br />Task 1.3.2 - Engineer will prepare a draft letter for <br />Authority which outlines general legal and geographical juris- <br /> dictions of Authority to provide such water and invite such <br /> entities to an informational meeting to potential customers. <br />Task 1.3.3 - Engineer in conjunction with Authority will <br />present possible options for service to potential customers <br />at a joint meeting to be held within the Authority's boundaries. <br />Task 1.3.4 - Engineer will distribute a "letter of inquiry" <br />to entities attending the meeting requesting time, quantity, and <br />• <br />s <br />/~ <br />
