The attached <br />chart indicates this comparison. <br />The chart indicates an average labor hours per unit of 57 manhours for <br />th.e Chevrolet and 80 manhours for the Plymouth. The average <br />maintenance cost per unit is ~~3,873.00 for the Chevrolet vehicles and <br />~'S,700.00 for the Plymouth units. This translates to an average cost <br />per rr;ile per unit of .~0.2~+ per rrile for the Chevrolet units and x'0.27 <br />per m~.le for the Plymouth units. <br />The Chevrolet units experienced a minor problem with the rear ends. <br />'T'his was. caused by the Positive Tra.etion feature causing a noise when <br />turning corners. This has since been corrected. The Plymouth units <br />have experienced serious front suspension problems causing vehicle <br />instability at high speeds. This problem has been partially corrected <br />by adding weights. The Plymouth units also had fuel system problems <br />that have been corrected by placing the fuel pump inside the fuel <br />tank.
