Ms. Abel reported October <br />1, 1995, Prime Cable will launch a wealth of new services <br />(see brochure Exhibit A). Councilperson Cooper and Sutherland <br />had questions regarding services provided by Prime Cable. <br /> <br />5. PROCLAMATIONS: <br /> <br />A. CONSTITUTION WEEK - KARlE RUSSELL AND SHIRLEY SPAHLER <br /> <br />Mayor Malone proclaimed the week of September 17 through 23, <br />1995, as Constitution Week. Accepting the proclamation were <br />Marie Russell, shirley Spahler, and Imogene pulleine <br />representing the Jane Long Chapter of the Daughters of the <br />American Revolution in La Porte, Texas. <br /> <br />6. PETITIONS, REMONSTRANCES, COMMUNICATIONS, AND CITIZENS AND TAX <br />PAYERS WISHING TO ADDRESS COUNCIL <br /> <br />A. William Gonzalez - Fees for Soccer field Little Cedar <br />Bayou Park <br /> <br />Mr. William Gonzalez did not attend the City council meeting, <br />and there were no other citizens wishing to address Council. <br /> <br />7. PUBLIC HEARING - CITY BUDGET FY 95-96 <br /> <br />OPEN PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />REVIEW BY STAFF <br /> <br />PUBLIC INPUT <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION OF STAFF <br /> <br />CLOSE PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Mayor Malone opened the public hearing at 6:10 P.M. Finance <br />Director/ACM Jeff Litchfield reviewed with Council the summary <br />of the budget meetings held in August. Mr. Litchfield <br />provided an overview of the Summary of Funds which are <br />incorporated in the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1995 and <br />ending September 30, 1996. He reported the total of all funds <br />is $36,726,758.00 and compared the over all revenues and <br />expenses. Council had no questions of Mr. Litchfield <br />regarding the presentation. There were no citizens wishing to <br />speak during public input. city Manager Robert T. Herrera <br />reported the summary and recommendation for adopting the <br />
