<br />2`ransfer Motion by Boyle, seoond by Roark, that the Mayor and City Secretary be
<br />to Gen Fd authorized to transfer from the Delinquent Tax Fund to the General Fund,
<br />the necessary funds to cover the allowed bills and the weekly and mofithly
<br />pay rolls, in the event the General Fund is short the required amount.
<br />Carried.
<br />Ac Ashan The City Attorney presented a letter to the Counai3~ advising his findings
<br />deed in connection with the deed from Mrs Li,szie S. MaAshan to the City of La
<br /> Porte, on Lots 1 to 12,and 21 to 32, both inclusive, in Block 7, Town of
<br /> La Porto, which were that the deed is legally effective.

<br />r some discussion a motion was offered by Agee, seoond by Ruff, that
<br /> the Council instruct the City Attorney to write Mrs Lizzie S. Mc Ashan
<br /> that the City is willing for Mrs Mc Ashan to have the. property described
<br /> as Lots 1 to 12, find 21 to 32,both inclusive, Block 7, Town of La Porte,
<br /> which she has deeded to the City for Park purposes. Carried.
<br /> The City Secretary reoprted that the returns on the April water samples
<br /> were good.
<br />Water Works Motion by Ald. fluff, second by Agee, that the Mayor appoint a committee
<br />Imps to investigate Water Works iaprove~ents in near-by communities.
<br /> Carried.
<br />~gayor Sharp appointed the members of the Water Committee to apt on this
<br /> co~nittee.
<br />sylvan Ald. Ruff presented the matter of the Sylvan Beach Park water bill of
<br />Desch X83.73, parried over unpaid from last year, askin instructions on c -
<br />g of
<br />Yater letting the bill before giving a water connection to Mr H.W. Dahse
<br />the
<br />~1i11 ,
<br />present lessee. After some discussion by the Council, Ald. Ruff offered
<br /> a motion, seoond by Roark,, that the City assume one half of the loss of
<br /> the amount of X83.73, asking Mr Dahse to assume ~I~1.87, to be paid out
<br /> at the rate of ~10.l~7, or l~.of the aswunt, eaph aonth, together with
<br /> the current monthly bill of Sylvan Beach Park, until the entire amount
<br /> of ~1.~..87 has been paid, and in addition that Sylvan Beaph by Mr Dahse,
<br /> put up a deposit of $60.00 for water service, X30.00 to be paid in cash
<br /> when Application for Water Service is signed and X30.00 to be paid by
<br /> MaylOth,l938~ the motion further stated an alternate proposition where-
<br /> by Sylvan Beach by Mr Dahse would assume none of the old water bill but
<br /> would but up a deposit of X100.00, X50.00 to be paid in Dash when the
<br /> Applipation for Water Service is signed and X50.00 on May lOth,1938.
<br /> Motion Carried.
<br />Jos.Clough The City Secretary presented a letter from Jos. Clough in regard t© the
<br />taxes application of his tax deposit of X9.00 on some part of his 193? taxes.
<br /> Ald. Ruff offered a motion, second~by Agee, that the value of the improve-
<br /> ments on Lots 9,10 & 11, Block 987, La Porte be adjusted from X300.00 to
<br /> $100.00 and that the sum of ~50.ao for merchandise be cancelled, both of
<br /> these adjustments to apply on the 1937 tax roll, and that Mr Cloughts tax
<br /> deposit of X9.00 be appl3.ed to 1937 taxes on the above described property,
<br /> returning the smell balance not used,to Mr Clough as per his request.
