Council considered a request from Space City International <br />Air Show to hold an air show at La Porte~Municipal Airport. <br />After a presentation by Dr. E. Harvey, Gary Mitchell and <br />Mr. Lapsley and questions from Council, motion was made by <br />Councilperson Westergren to table this item for further <br />study until the meeting of March 21. Second by Councilperson <br />Matuszak. The motion carried, 7 ayes and 2 nays. <br />Ayes: Matuszak, Graves, Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren, <br />and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: Councilpersons Malone and Longley <br />7. Council considered an ordinance amending the City of La Porte <br />electrical code. <br />City Attorney Askins read: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ELECTRIC <br />• CODE OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE; ADDING SECTION 8-4'1, ARTICLE IV, <br />FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; PROVIDING A <br />SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING THAT ANY PERSON VIOLATING THE <br />TERMS OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE DEEMED GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR <br />AND UPON CONVICTION THEREOF SHALL BE FINED IN ANY SUM NOT MORE <br />THAN TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00); AND PROVIDING.
