Block 4~ be rezoned from R-1 Residential <br />to Commercial for Apartment Construction. <br />Motion by Comm. Sampson, seconded by Comm. Thomas <br />that Block 333 and the east half of Block 334 <br />be rezoned from R-2 Residential to Commercial for <br />Townhouse Construction. Motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Thomas, Kibodeaux, Sampson <br />and Crofoot. <br />NAYS: None. <br />Motion by Comm. Sampson, seconded by Comm. Thomas <br />to postpone for additional study the rezoning of <br />Block 47. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Thomas, Kibodeaux and Sampson. <br />NAYS: Commissioner Crofoot. <br />• + + + <br />2. Motion by Comm. Crofoot, seconded by Comm. Kibodeaux <br />to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of <br />August 9, 1971 and the special meeting of August 16, <br />1971 as presented. Johnny Busch, of Baytown Engineering, addressed the <br />Commission in regards to bids received for water <br />and sewer line extensions and services. Mr. Busch <br />recommended accepting the low bid from Shuman Dirt <br />and Ditching Service. <br />Motion by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. Thomas <br />to accept the low bid from Shuman Dirt and Ditching <br />• Service and the Mayor be authorized to sign the con- <br />tract. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />
