• <br />Minutes, Public Hearing <br />La Porte City Council <br />July 23, 1990, Page 3 <br />and Regular Meeting <br />8. Council considered a resolution authorizing special counsel <br />to represent the City in acquisition of property. <br />The City Attorney read Resolution 90-6, which authorized <br />Charles Dippel, as Special Counsel for the City of La Porte, <br />to represent the City in acquisition of a certain parcel of <br />property. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Clarke to approve Resolution <br />90-6 as read by the City Attorney. Second by Councilperson <br />McLaughlin. The motion carried, 6 ayes and 1 nay <br />(Councilperson Gay was away from the Council table). <br />9. <br />10. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Cooper, Matuszak, <br />Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: Councilperson Porter <br />Council considered establishing funding <br />citizen/wellness facility. <br />McLaughlin, <br />for senior <br />Finance Director to deposit proceeds from the sale of City <br />property to ICN in the amount of $362,400 in the General Fund <br />Capital Improvement fund (Fund 015); amend the current year <br />General Fund budget by $336,245, which represents prior years' <br />street and alley closing revenue as well as proceeds from the <br />settlement of a law suit; transfer funds just budgeted from <br />the General Fund to the General Fund Capital Improvement Fund <br />iz+.—A nI c% . --A tee+. n; A'M +hc =Y,ncrn f»nrlc fni'al inn AFAR _ AAF; _ <br />renovation of the Broadway street property. Second by <br />Councilperson Cooper. The motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 nays <br />(Councilperson Gay was away from the table). <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Cooper, Matuszak, McLaughlin, Porter, <br />Skelton Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />Council considered approving the 1990-91 La Porte Area Water <br />Authority Operating Budget. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to approve the La <br />Porte Area Water Authority Operation Budget for the 1990-91 <br />fiscal year. Second by Councilperson Clarke. The motion <br />carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />
