Council considered approval of the official statement and ordinances authorizing the issuance of $7,700,000 in <br />general obligation bonds. <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager Cynthia Alexander introduced Mark Nitcholas who provided City Council with a <br />summary and recommendation. <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read: 2840 - ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND ORDERING THE <br />ISSUANCE OF CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, SERIES 2005; AND <br />CONTAINING OTHER MATTERS INCIDENT THERETO. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS <br /> <br />Motion was made bv Councilmember Engelken to approve the ordinance as presented. Second by <br />Councilmember Beasley. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Ayes: Porter, Griffiths, Beasley, Mosteit, Engelken, Moser, Rigby and Clausen. <br />
