EXECUTIVE GROUP <br /> <br />1. Mayor/Commissioners <br /> <br />Direct city departments and volunteers in all <br />types of planning and emergency actions. Inform <br />the citizens.of the nature of the situation and <br />outline any actions required of the populace. <br />Make emergency police decisions governing the <br />direction of disaster operations within the city~ <br />Request aid, or authorize such requests from the <br />State or Federal governments, including mi~itary <br />.support if needed. <br /> <br />2. CIVIL PREPAREDNESS DIRECTOR/COORDINATOR <br />(STAFF ADVISOR) <br /> <br />Assist the chief executive in. all programs and <br />phases of the disaster preparedness program. <br />Prepare, review and revise as necessary the emer- <br />gency operations plan. Coordinate with and assist <br />other departments within the city development of <br />operational procedures to the emergency plan. <br />Coordinate other community agencies' emergency plans, <br />e.g.- schools~ Red Cross; industry and other civic <br />groups. <br />Maintain liaison with State and Federal disaster <br />preparedness' agencies. Maintain currentEOC staffing, <br />organization and assignments. Arrange for disaster <br />preparedness training'classes to meet the needs of <br />the city departments and the general public. <br />
